  • Deranged supports Special Minds IT as a key technical partner in their contract with the Danish Agency for Digital Government (Digitaliseringsstyrelsen).

As part of our collaboration with Special Minds IT, Deranged acts as a specialist subcontractor on their engagement with the Danish Agency for Digital Government. We work in close dialogue with the agency and play a central role in monitoring the accessibility of websites and mobile apps across the public sector.

Our work ensures compliance with the Web Accessibility Directive (webtilgængelighedsloven) and supports a more inclusive digital landscape in Denmark.

We are responsible for

  • Automated Testing: Conducting yearly accessibility audits of 255 public websites using automated tools. Deranged is responsible for the operation and ongoing development of the entire automated testing infrastructure, including the web crawler and integration with QualWeb, which evaluates key WCAG 2.1 success criteria.
  • Manual Assessments: Performing manual reviews to evaluate user interface elements, forms, media, and other areas not fully covered by automation.
  • Platform Development: Delivering and maintaining was.digst.dk, the tool where accessibility statements are submitted and published.
  • System Operations: Operating and further developing Webtilsyn.dk — the dashboard used by public authorities to access both automated and manual monitoring results.

Our role combines subject matter expertise within web accessibility, technical execution, platform delivery, and operational reliability — making Deranged a trusted partner in advancing digital accessibility in the Danish public sector.
